Gmenfan, I have a tale about mass migration.
Several years ago, I worked in Norway's North Sea. Two weeks offshore, two weeks on shore.. My late wife and I became acquainted with the head of Norway's National Dental School, DR Grimstad.
Dr Grimstad had practiced, in NYC and retired to his home town, Bergin, Norway. One evening we had the doctor to our home, for dinner. After dinner we were talking
"B2B, what do you think of Norwegian workers?"
That caught me off guard because they are terrible.. The doctor came to my rescue.
" They aren't very good are they? Little initiative and motivation. I have a theory. In the 30 years, between 1880 and 1910, 800,000 Norwegians migrated to America and Canada. Today's population is 4 million. 800,000 was a huge percentage of the population
The migrants were not the wealthy nor the indolent. They were the ambitious. I believe that losing such a large number of our ambitious, weakened Norway's gene pool."
I think that could be happening in Venezuela and Central America. Those that could, someday improve their homelands, are fleeing to America.
