Note that short interest was bumped up from 12/15/22 to 12/30/22 to take the stock below $5.
About a million shares were covered at the end of July but days to cover continues to rise.
In the summer of 2022 short interest was at 20 million for three reporting periods, then they were able to cover about two million. Short interest went back to the 19-20 million range for the EOY dump and has remained there for FIFTEEN reporting periods.
Short interest has remained stable this summer. In spite of price swings of 25% or more there has been no significant covering.
