Hello my $AMRN Friends. As you know I have been collecting and reporting on US prescription data for Omega-3 FA products since 2015. This data is provided on a weekly basis from 3rd party sources and is reported here on Friday’s. It includes new, refill, and total prescriptions (normalized to a 30-day supply of 120 capsules). The data is inclusive of VASCEPA® and all current generic versions (5 currently), and generic versions of LOVAZA (a mixture of EPA/DHA). You can review the latest Script Report here:

UK Monthly Prescription Data:

Recently I discovered the English Prescribing Dataset (EPD):
https://opendata.nhsbsa.net/dataset/english-prescribing-data-epd

This dataset contains information on prescriptions issued in England that have been dispensed in England, Wales, Scotland, Guernsey, Alderney, Jersey, and the Isle of Man. The dataset is huge and consists of every prescription for every drug or application dispensed in the above domains. It appears on the website and lags about two calendar months behind the current date. The dataset can be filtered for specific “Chemical Substances”:
From January 2023 to present I’ve collected data for the following Chemical Substances:

Alirocumab
Atorvastatin
Bempedoic acid
Bempedoic acid/Ezetimibe
Colchicine
Evolocumab
Ezetimibe
Icosapent
Inclisiran
Omega-3-acid ethyl esters
Pravastatin sodium
Rosuvastatin calcium
Simvastatin
Simvastatin and ezetimibe

Icosapent = VAZKEPA® and Omega-3-acid EE is a broad category that includes mostly Omacor Capsules (LOVAZA in USA), and other branded mixtures. Here’s a summary of VAZKEPA® Scripts to June: (Capsules)

January 47,039
February 56,800
March 72,116
April 67,170
May 79,788
