Vin, you've been buying all the way down and said as much. Continually averaging down is not a sound strategy for making money. This baby is in free fall, just admit to yourself where we are. I doubt we have seen the market lows yet, if I am wrong I will own this post

jmkobers, I don't understand how you invest. You go from being a super bull, to an uber bear at the drop of a hat on zero news, then go back on zero news. In my view that is no way to make money or to invest.

Averaging down is the best way to make money on the stock market. Well, as long as you have what you consider a good reason to buy and at the price you buy. I don't rush in with big buys too quickly.

As far as RVNC, year I have bought 4 times since the end of June. A small amount on June 28th at $26, then a 2.5x larger amount on 3 dates, July 12th ($24.30), July 14 ($22.5) and lastly on August 14 ($19.40) to increase my RVNC holdings by 22%. I learned a long time ago to buy slowing when a stock is dropping and I feel there is nothing that really merits the drop. Would it have been better for me if I waited and pooled all my money and just bought today? Obviously. However, nobody can predict a bottom so I am not going to whine and say shoulda, woulda coulda. My time horizon in measured in years. I own this post as well as the stock. If you want to claim victory now, have at it. I don't care.

For the record, I have been averaging down ENTA too since mid-May and increased my holdings by 35%. My last buy was early August and the stock is down more than $3 form that buy. I might buy a small bit more if it drops even lower. You pay your money and you take you chances. Again, I am not going to whine and say shoulda, woulda coulda.

Should I tell you when I bought IMGN and at what price too?
