I knew it, my mother was always right. She always had a bottle of Castor Oil around. She kept it around for all of our cuts and bruises. She may have been dipping into the oil for constipation? Castor Bean Bushes grew wild across the alley from where I lived. We were always warned Castor Beans were poisonous. Obviously not to the extent that it would kill us.

I'm guessing in small enough quantities, Castor oil used properly and combined with another oil like EPA it wouldn't be harmful. Unlike statins, who knows what's in that stuff (especially Generics).

Whoa... I didn't know that Lecithin is used to treat Dementia & Alzheimers? https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/encyclopedia/content.aspx?contenttypeid=19&contentid=lecithin#:~:text=Lecithin%20is%20used%20to%20treat,not%20well%20defined%20and%20confirmed.

Lecithin is used to treat dementia and Alzheimer disease. It's also used to treat gallbladder disease. It may also help treat fatty liver (hepatic steatosis) in people on long-term parenteral nutrition. But the role of lecithin is not well defined and confirmed.
