In the south you can buy all parts of the pig at the grocery store.

Can you get a pig's head?

Ham hocks are useful for making soups and stews. Lots of gelatin, and a fair amount of meat. Often they're smoked. And then there're trotters, or pigs' feet. But one local store here called them "pigs' toes". God knows why.
