I did some reading on Norma Jean Baker aka Madylin Monroe. She was born in LA on Jume 1, 1926. Her mother was a weird one. Born in Piedras Negras, Mexico. Her family had moved there, as part of a religious cult.
Norma Jean was in and out of foster homes and children shelters. A least one of her foster "Daddies", sexually abused her. She married a neighbor's son, named Doughtery when she was 16. He went to the Pacific, with the Navy. They divorced shortly after he got home
She was also married to Joe DiMaggio and Aurther Miller.
My favorite MM film was "Some Like It Hot", with Tony Curtis and Jack Lemon. All three were great, in that movie.
Marylin died at the early age of 36, of a barbiturate over dose. Her death was ruled a probable suicide.
