When I started my company in Montreal, I rented a two story house, the bottom portion was the offices, top floor sleeping quarters. Shoe string budget.

We went from me, my partner and an assistant, to another assistant, to another, until we were starting to run out of space. So The offices eventually moved.

Just back story.

One morning I'm crossing the street to go to the 711 and I see a cop car pass. His radio slides off the roof of his car and hits the pavement. Well, I go back out into the middle of the road, stopping traffic, to retrieve the radio.

I go back to the 711 to buy a pack of smokes and cross the street back to the house/office.

So I'm listening in to messages and thinking it'd be cool to keep this and listen in.

Then reality sets in and I realize I have no time for this shit, I'm building a company. SO I call the cops, say I found it, what do they want to do?

They sent over the cop that lost it, he thanked me and went on his way.

About 6 months later, I bought a different car and put the old one on the street with a for sale sign. 10 Days later, the SAME cop shows up and says I gotta get the car off the street, people are complaining.

I said complaining about what?

He says that it doesn't move and people wonder why.

Am I in a no parking zone. He says, he honestly doesn't know, just move it from time to time.

Which gets me to the end of the story, trying to decrypt Montreal's no parking signs;

I always thought that what they really needed to do was simply put up saying WHEN you can park
