Not sure I agree with your analysis.

The vol today was 666,209 including that MOC trade at 16:00 of 72,858 shares.

So the bulk of the vol was not on the MOC trade at the close. 11%.

The price is not guaranteed when you place a MOC order. The execution price is whatever the closing price is and that can't be known till the close.
