Another "new" "different" "holy grail" cancer cure. Third one in a week WITH an active Phase 1 trial recruiting in America.

This one, AOH1996, targets PCNA (proliferating cell nuclear antigen protein). A protein that in its mutated form is crucial in DNA replication and repair of all types of tumors, its effectiveness is higher and its range of action significantly broader.
This AOH1996 being done at City of Hope Hospital – one of the largest cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States (no investment possible now).

( I know these posts are "off topic" but as MRKR is trying to cure cancer (as are these others), and as we would like to help all cancer patients, and just so MRKR investors have all new info about potential competitors, I post them).

There is another compound from a private company (no investment possible now) called ATX-101, from APIM Therapeutics, that also is working on PCNA, BUT in their trial, No tumor responses were observed but stable disease was seen in 70% of the efficacy population.

All I can say about all these new discoveries is #1 MRKR has a good head start on them and #2 I hope some of them work out in the long run to help patients.
