Mike, ADVFN is a company registered in the UK and so is subject to UK law. As such,whatever anyone chooses to write on this or any ADVFN board will be subject to UK law.
If you choose to call LG a liar (" a teller of a false statement to deceive others intentionally") via some form of written or broadcast medium (such as this board) and you cannot substantiate your claim (lying is not the same as inadvertently giving mistaken information) you are potentially impugning him and damaging his reputation. If he considers that your description of him as a liar is not borne out by the facts (whatever they may be) that you present to support your contention and that he has been harmed in any way by your deliberate use of the word "liar" he would be entitled under UK law to sue you and claim financial damages proportionate to the damage caused by the lies.
The damages might be a peppercorn but the lawyers and court costs can be very substantial.
