If I were investing someone else's money small losses wouldn't bother me, but when it's my money I have to cut those losses short. That's the difference with OPM.

You have to know yourself and that's something that's important to me. Losses for me are searing hot pain until they're closed out. It doesn't matter what you think.

But some agree with me.

Being un-invested is what makes me greedy rather than being fearful at the bottom of a plunge. Most of us have emotions we have to deal with. Others are sociopaths

Sitting there as losses increase is not my style - I've never had "committeemen purchases" that let me ignore the market moving against me.

We've run out of other people's Social Security taxes needed to subsidize our low income tax rates.
