Didn't they try diversity with the FN foray? How did that work out for them?
Yeah, the junior exploration market sux right now. Most junior gold explorers, even with a resource, can't attract any investment. Some other commodities are faring a little better, like the battery metals crowd (Li, Ni, Cu, REE's) and Atascama is promoting their ventures in that direction. But even the battery metal juniors are struggling, unless they have a hot prospect, which requires million$ to find and start drilling out, and for every 100 lithium explorers out there, maybe 1 or 2 get lucky with a noteworthy (but not necessarily economic) discovery.
Atascama's new properties don't even have showings/occurrences, they have minimal geological merit (IMHO) and they have zero cash. I personally do not see them succeeding on the exploration front any time soon...
