8 month later still no data

On August 1, we will have moved into nine months without a full data set from the AD trial. As a result, the stock price is slowly moving lower and lower. I can't help but wonder if some weaker hand AVXL holders (does not include me), after all this time, are possibly getting nervous about continuing to hold the stock in the face of upcoming Rett EXCELLENCE top line data. After all, an EXCELLENCE failure would guarantee an AVXL stock price in the mid to low $3s. Just some musing on another uneventful day holding AVXL.

Side note: seeing the exact stock price weakness in SAVA, my other AD play. It's first Phase III AD trial will probably fully enroll no later than September 2023, but last patient twelve-month dosing will run into fall 2024. As in the case of AVXL, extremely lengthy periods between news catalysts gives shorts room to stay aggressive without consequences and new investors are hard to come by when they are trying to catch a falling knife.
