The Commission considered and advised on

• a medicine for the treatment of epilepsy.
• a medicine used in patients with Addison’s disease to replace the hormones that are
normally produced by glands attached to the kidneys. It is also used to treat a
condition called ‘salt losing adrenogenital syndrome’ which is a different form of
hormone imbalance.
• a medicine used to treat a variety of cancers, either alone or in combination with other
medicinal products.
