I have owned BIEL stock off and on since 2009. I currently hold a small number of shares. I bought into the Synergy deal, thought we might see a little spike in the quarterlies. It didn't pan out, and I am once again holding an empty bag. Long term I am moderately profitable on BIEL.

I have said this before, and still stand by it. Making money on a stock does not require liking the company, the product, the management, etc... It certainly doesn't require one to be positive on an internet discussion board. Nothing that happens on this board affects the stock price, or the company.

If I can paraphrase your question, why would someone who is bearish on a stock spend time on a message board? It is for exactly the same reasons that someone who is bullish on the stock being here.
