Hi Jim,
While I don't pretend to know the costs for the various items on the menu shown below, nor what the market might bear, I do expect GSS to be shooting for something in excess of C$75 million.
In my eyes, that can be considered to be "a considerable amount." <gg>

"The net proceeds of the offering will be used to purchase an interest in an electric power station in Ghana, for completion and start-up of the Bogoso sulfide expansion project, for completion of a feasibility study for and subsequent development of the Company's Hwini-Butre and Benso properties located in southwest Ghana, and for general corporate working capital purposes."

C$100 million would not surprise me at all...

The upcoming public offering is being underwritten by BMO, Wellington West, Cannacord and GMP securities.

Somewhat coincidentally, GSS' C$88 million bought deal financing in December of 2005 was underwritten by BMO, Blackmont Capital and Wellington Wellington West Capital Markets.
