That is the general description of an investor relations job from Investopia. But when Linda Powers went searching for a new director of investors relations, she must of inadvertently posted a want add that read something more along the lines of this:

“Looking for an individual with no public relations experience nor formal public relations training at a public company. Candidate will work from home. No Linkedin Page is a must to preserve anonymity. Candidate must also possess a keen disregard for investors and willingness to express disgust for any reason. Demonstrated command of four letter words and creative excuse making in both written and verbal communication are a must.

Responsibilities to include maintaining strict corporate non-disclosures, and
belittling ingrates and other undeserving shareholders that don’t recognize the inherent greatness and heroism of the CEO. Special preference in the selection process will be given to those candidates willing to assist in the elder care of staff and directors.”

Did she hire the right candidate that fit the job description?
