It’s really encouraging to hear confirmation that Dr. Ashkan is seeing 30% long-term survivors in the real world. Dr. Liau just reported that she’s seeing between 20-25% long-term survivors (5+ years). Often in the real world, patients do worse than in the clinical trials, because the clinical trials tend to exclude the sickest patients. So much for the tired argument that Northwest Bio cherry picked their patients for the trial, huh?

I’m definitely hearing about more compassionate-use patients than I have in the past. Do you think more awareness is being raised by these patients and their advocates recently, or it is because there are actually more patients lining up for DCVax since the trial results were published in JAMA?
