Putin didn’t destroy Afghanistan, the US & NATO did
The USSR invaded Afghanistan, in 1979. and retreated in 1989. An estimated 2 million Afghan civilians were killed. The USSR invaded to save the ruler they had installed.
I'm not defending our miserable presence in Afghanistan.
Putin didn’t destroy Yugoslavia, the US & NATO did
Yougoslavia was on it's way to internal genocide and self destruction, when theUS and NATO intervened. Yougoslavia was made up of 6 States. After Tito died, in 1980, the country began tearing it's self apart.
Serbs had dominated Yugoslavia since the end of WW II. They dominated the other states. They were hated. Added to the hatred between the various groups, a religious war broke out between Christians and the large Muslim population. The situation was chaotic.
I have no doubt the the US-NATO intervention saved lives.
Putin didn’t destroy Syria, the US & NATO did
Putin's Russia had ground troops and his air force, in Syria. They did lots of destruction.. Putin's wound up with a Syrian seaport, where he has Russian warships stationed in the Mediterranean Sea.
This kind of crap is put out by Blame America Firsters and I'll deride every chance I get.
