I LOVE Route 66. In 1953 ( I was 16), Mom, Dad & I drove our spark'n new Olds 98, from Oklahoma City(is mighty pretty) to LA. I can still feel the excitement of Amarillo, Albuquerque, Gallup, Flagstaff, Barstow, Pomona, San Bernadino and the Pacific Ocean.

Hollywood, Knotts Berry Farm, Signal Hill.

I also remember our shock and looking down at LA.s smog , as we approached San Bernadino.

Man! Did I ever get some kicks on Route 66!
