“After reading about Dr Jin’s career and his experience with the FDA approval process it seems clear that he chose AVXL because he knew the drug would be approved for multiple CNS diseases.”

That’s an assumption that nicely fits the WGT narrative but has no basis in anything that Jin has stated. It’s also possible he was tired of the FDA bureaucracy, was ready to retire from the FDA and collect a pension, and/or wanted a bigger paycheck. In fact, there could have been many possible reasons having little to do with the certainty of WGT.
