You misunderstood.

I was discussing trends. The individual data points in the trendline are the "snap shots". Whether quarterly or annual wasn't the point. I only referenced particular quarters as the start or end of a trend.

The trend line is what I was arguing is most relevant.

Here is a crude graphic to illustrate my point.


It seems clear. to me at least, that the tends indicate that product doesn't seem to have any "stickiness" with the consumers. Not enough to sustain the revenues.
