Interesting. Only thing I know is China doesn’t hardly produce chips that are average for regular everyday stuff. They import almost every high end piece and assemble what they are capable of assembling in most every circumstance. In every field. My guess is this doesn’t mean much, and probably doesn’t hurt/help much overall. I mean germanium is expensive to begin with… and hence not used much. (Of course, if I am wrong, someone please correct me.)

Also, did someone post here today that 93% of data center transceivers are made in the US? (I think I saw that today.).

I wonder beyond controlling the two, how big of a deal it is in this sense… but interesting though.
