This was an incredibly outrageous thing that he did. Honestly, one has to wonder how much longer he can evade being held legally accountable for the things he claims and posts, which are not all as a "journalist". Tweeting is not something that has been fact checked by his publication. His posts here have not been validated by those organizations and we all know that he is not so careful on reporting the most key details. Like when he claimed that ATL-DC was not, DCVax-L. He used sources that any journalist could tell any other professional journalist, hey, those are not reliable or factually valid "sources" you're using to make that claim. It's reckless.I presume that is why he posted here and on social media instead of in a news article, where an organization would force him to retract. Combined with previous statements and activities, as well as the CREW and Washington Post previous writings about him, and the circumstances that may have come out of that, he is acting willfully reckless, and apparently posting things that can be, I believe, easily proven to be inaccurate and I think many of us believe are flatly false. Granted, he could argue that he doesn't know how to validate such information, he's not a lawyer. But if that came out in a lawsuit, could any self-respecting news organization consider him a reliable reporter? I believe that he is thus pushing the envelope of what is reckless and malicious to its very edge. Clearly he believes no one will come after him legally. I wonder if that will remain the case much longer. Surely if a BP buys in any time soon, and he keeps it up, they will go after him all guns blazing. I don't think they would tolerate that nonsense if he took it too far. It would be damaging commercially and have a dollar amount attached to it that would be quite large. No wisely run news organization, especially not after Fox News' recent experience, would want to keep such a risk on-board, hypothetically speaking.
