That argument makes as much sense as claiming that people who have a mortgage on their home are actually homeless. Many companies that produce and sell products utilize third-party facilities when their manufacturing needs don't require them to operate a factory full-time and/or if the cost of building a physical factory, buying, operating, and maintaining expensive machinery doesn't make sense financially. That doesn't mean they aren't experts at manufacturing their own products.
