A publicly traded company should abide by the standards of the public market sector and is fully culpable based on all secular market forces. If they wanted to manage the company the way they want to without much criticism, based upon poor appearances, then they should have stuck to private equity instead. Btw that private equity market is much much larger than then we all might think. That market would also demand such things as a 3D survey, logs, data, and a P50 before any cash infusion for operations would even be considered. Think VC.

For too long Zion management has assumed consistent financial support based on a faithful investor class. When the money dries up claims of “manipulation” fly and complaining about criticism. That’s childish.

We are in an age where companies are seeking more and more public financing. Just look at the amount of SPACs, IPOs, and zombie companies operating as of the covid flash crash. And Cava just ipo’d at a whopping $4.7 billion. A frothy, overbought, and bubble market we are in.

To the point, they could have done much more as we’ve discussed ad nauseum on all forums for quite sometime now.
