Every time shares are issued folks always want to make the point that they're "restricted" as if it doesn't matter.

Anyone who's been around knows 3 things:

1. Shares are issued when no other funding is available. The nominal rates are often usurious, but that's only academic because everyone knows loans will be converted to shares.

2. And those shares ALWAYS end up in the float.

3. Converters aren't in it for the stories posted on ihub - they take their discounted shares and dump them at the first opportunity, locking in great returns with little risk.
