With Alpine getting the boot, will they file bankruptcy or cease operations? DTCC will have to force Alpine/Kramers to cover, if Alpine/Kramers won't/can't cover DBMM/GTII naked shorts, DTCC has to cover, clean naked short mess. Will they start to cover? When? No-one knows. JMHO
