This erroneous statement has been repeated once again on the boards, “John Blaisure was in charge until 2019....Get over it!!!!” You’ve made this comment in the past and I’ve countered it. John Blaisure was the CEO, but Halpern knows he was never “in charge.” Everyone else knew that as well. Blaisure had to get everything approved by Halpern.

Blaisure was not in favor of funneling all the time, energy, and company money into the Google lawsuit. He wanted the money invested in R&D but Halpern constantly diverted funds to the Google case. Halpern made all the financial decisions and kept Blaisure behind the “Chinese Wall” when it came to the bank accounts. That was his phrase by the way, in a written email. That’s why Blaisure was blindsided before the Google deposition when Halpern presented all the financial information to him at the 11th hour.

Blaisure has no prior knowledge of Halpern’s use of the company credit card for personal expenses. Google used that information to pierce the corporate veil and the result was judgements were issued against MAXD as a business, and both Halpern and Blaisure individually. The judgment was a disastrous result for the company and tarnished the MAXD reputation in the industry. That’s all on Halpern so any attempts to deflect blame to others will be countered with facts and the truth.
