I had a personal experience with George, that I'll share.
In 1997 my late wife Lynn, had a life threatening stroke. She was hospitalized att he Kadlic Hospital, in Richland Washington.
George Winston had an attachment to the hospital and came to Richland annually, to perform at the hospital.. He had one of those performances, while Lynn was there.
She couldn't be moved to the small theater. There was a knock on the door and a smiling Patient's Representative entered. She was accompanied by George Winston, with his guitar and harmonica.
He sat at Lynn's bed side and put on a private 30 min concert. Words can not describe the joy that Lynn and I felt.
George left and a few minutes later, so did I. As I was going through the hospital lobby, a young man came up to me and handed me a plastic box.
"George want's your wife to have this"
It contained 12 of Mr Winston's CDs. Lynn treasured that gift for her remaining years.
My Darling past away, 5 years ago. Her last year she was in deep dementia.
I played Winstons CDs, for her, almost contently. I'm sure she took comfort from George's music
May God bless you George Winston. Rest in Peace
