One of the big questions now is how will private lithium miners be affected by the new mining royalty? In or out? Fixed rate or variable rate? Sliding calculation or non-sliding calculation? Cap or no cap? 50,000mtpa minimum cut-off or no 50,000mtpa minimum cut-off?

There are a half dozen big questions but let us look at two glaring ones right off the top. Close your eyes. Imagine 8 different private lithium miners all in competition with each other. All 8 of these miners are forced to JV with Codelco... Question: what is to prevent Codelco from giving miner B the confidential business secrets/schedules/expenditures that miner A is planning to implement? Next, in the same train of thought... what is to prevent Codelco from using a tiny secret spy camera inside miner D's laboratory and photographing all of miner D's chemical/production trade secrets, and then giving those confidential photographs/trade-secrets to miner F to boost his/her lithium production against miner D's knowledge/instructions/wishes?

Then there is the issue of Codelco being "in bed with the local indians" prior the JV and the private lithium miner not being in bed with the local indians to the same degree... does Codelco rollover on future indian questions/confrontations/blackmail/extortion/mooching and throw the private miner "partner" under the bus all the time in the future when it acquiesces to the indians?

The NLP is still half-baked and in typical mañana mañana fashion, not one single beaner in this whole clusterfocking Boric administration is putting pen to paper to work out these monumental questions.
