It's possible.

Programmable photonics uses MZMs and MZIs to power their "meshes" and we heard at the PIC presentation that SilOriX is planning to use its slot modulators for this application. At OFC in March, a company working on programmable photonics told me they plan to use LWLG's modulators.

I chatted with Lebby about programmable photonics at OFC and while he agreed it's a really promising technology...current devices are too large.

Who has the smallest, fastest, and most efficient MZM's?

Also interesting is that Lightmatter's #2 scientist/co-founder has experience with cryogenic modulators.

Lebby also just mentioned incorporating MZIs at the shareholder meeting.
