TD is moving to Schwab this weekend

x, I was speaking with a rep yesterday on the Schwab transition. His understanding was that they were starting with their "inactive" accounts first, (customers with open accounts that have not used or show very limited trading activity) as the first wave of the transition. Basically a test run, if you will. Then further incremental waves thereafter, notifications to customers will be made as to when they will be rolled over (during weekends) with accounts being inaccessible from Friday, post "after market" to Monday morning start of trading. I got the sense that it would be done very gradually, so as not to overwhelm the Schwab infrastructure/personnel, imagine all the phone calls they will be dealing with. The good news is the ThinkorSwim platform will largely remain as is, according to the rep.
