We're clearly in default so long as "five moderate republicans", if they exist in the House, refuse an alternate plan.

It's perfectly asinine.

One alternative is repealing Trump's tax cuts. It's one of the options the White House put forward and was dismissed by the Kevin.

A default will cost us all far more than a modest rise in tax rates.

We've run out of other people's Social Security taxes needed to subsidize our low income tax rates.
