But, of course, the fact that blarcamesine is both safe and effective in the treatment of Alzheimer's and Rett syndrome is no longer the matter of contention. In order for the drug to be sold and used to treat those CNS disorders requires that some drug-use regulatory body somewhere in the world actually approve the drug. So far, for all of the reasons posted here every day blarcamesine has not been approved anywhere in the world. Until the drug is formally approved somewhere, for all practical purposes safety and efficacy are merely conceptual.
