Don’t get too excited just yet. Sigma-1R has been discussed in the medical literature as a potential therapeutic target for 40+ years, though there is precious little to show for it. If biotech or pharmaceutical companies really thought there was potential in Sigma-1R, any number of deep-pocketed companies would have thrown a lot of resources at it.

Maybe Blarcamesine has a secret sauce that will finally be a breakthrough. Maybe not. Phase 3 trials over the next 4-5 years may finally give us a definitive answer one way or the other.

And before Georgejjl declares this NONSENSE, it’s a fact that there is little to show for 40+ years of research.
