Doug, if Prescott or its mid-2004 successor were fully AMD64 compatible, why would AMD eliminate the 64-bit capabilities from a chip that becomes available (mid 2004) at the same time as a known future rev (LGA 775 version) of the Prescott core?

Especially when this chip plugs into motherboards and sockets that support 64-bit operation.

If anything, AMD should be accelerating AMD64 in all their chips, not eliminating it!
