On April 20, 2023, the Securities and Exchange Commission issued an order instituting administrative proceedings (“OIP”) against Kiwa Bio-Tech Products Group Corporation (“Respondent”) pursuant to Section 12(j) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.1 On April 28, 2023, Respondent requested an extension of time until May 31, 2023, to file an answer to the OIP. Respondent cites its inability to obtain contact information for counsel for the Division of Enforcement as a basis for the requested extension.
