Don't know, Porgie. Various methods can be used to analyze BRK's performance. No doubt many BRK fans and investment houses have BRK modeled using old accounting and current mark to market GAAP (which depends in large part on how the massive Apple holding did on the quarterly cut off date).

BRK's stock price is probably about as good a metric as any unless one wants to plunge into the details of the ~120 businesses.

Apple is doing well.
