He, instead, did the smart thing by reporting the Covid-caused trial delay and its impact on enrollment, along with the very positive trial results, to lessen the anticipated AF Cabal attack.



Strongly disagree. No CEO worth his salt lets AF dictate SEC public disclosure decisions. Missling lacked transparency with that decision. The stock price dropped 13% after the PDD OLE results were announced and has not gotten above $8.50. Transparency is key to credibility--Missling got cute and screwed up on this particular matter and there was nothing smart about it*-just my opinion.
