Thing that is bothering me. Is why Maurcio isn't playing 2b in the minors (They have him playing SS, when is he ever gonna play SS Lindor is a great defensive SS here for the long-term he is not moving, so let him learn a position he might play, this guy is not in single A he is in triple A), Why is vientoes who played OF last year suddenly not playing OF, Instead we have him playing 1b? Once Again Alonso, the mets best player is playing there, why is vientoes not playing LF everyday, I mean Canha is singed throughout this year. They keep short circuiting Alvarez, he plays one out of every 3 games, and they wonder why he doesn't hit. I don't think he is ready personally, but if your gonna have him up here, you should make him have a chance to succeed. And Baty drive in a run in game 1 up here, and right away we are stting him for what escober the guy can barely hit 120. His last hit I remember was against a backup C throwing to him in a game where they score 17 runs. He is not Exactly a gold glover at 3b, and all I here about is Baty defense, well I wasn't exactly wowed by Escobar this year on that front either. Overall I don't like how the mets are handiling there prospects.
They have to realize they have 5 long-term guys right now (Marte, Nimmo, Mcneil, Alonso, and Lindor.) The other 4 spots if they struggle they should be more apt to find out what they have. The other 4 spots are struggling. Alvarez is a C. Maurcio could play 2b if they give him reps, Baty Can play 3b, And Vientoes probably can play LF, but he can also DH. Those are your 4 huge and I do mean huge holes. Also Guys Like escobar and Canha are FA after this year, they are not guy you have under contract after this year anyways. All is just my opinion of course.
