My Take on Monday's Show
I thought Monday was far weaker overall than sunday if I was comparing. Granted 3 people go home from each night.
1) Elijah- Didn't love the song choice. I thought it was an average vocal. And by far the worst we have heard from him. It was clearly missing something, and was flat in parts and off in a few other. Grade C
2) Paige- Sang a MC song was far from perfect. She did hit some good notes along the way, but at time she also hit a few bad notes as well. Slightly Above Average. Grade C+
3) Mary Beth. Didn't love her tone on that song. Not a perfect vocal as she hit some bad notes, and some good ones as well. Average Performance. Grade C
4) We Ani- I continue to say she can flat out sing. Can't say I seen her singing a song like a rock singer. Probably not my favorite performance from her, still very, very good for me. Grade A-
5) Michael- I don't like his tone on this song, and I thought he was very unclear in parts, not a great vocal for me to say the least. Below average. Grade C-
6) Dawson- I'm not his biggest fan generally, and this was one of the strangest performances of the two night. I kind of liked it, and thought it was decent, although probably not for everyone either. Grade B-
7) Hannah- Didn't love how she sang the song. She was sick which obviously didn't help the vocal either. Just Average at best for me. Grade C
8) Megan- She has a not very nice tone. A combination of a nasally pitch when she sings for power, and a horse tone, and the combo just doesn't go for me. And she screamed a ton for me as well. I really didn't like it. Grade D
9) Malik- Weak in the beginning, hit some good note towards the end, also overperformed it as well. Just Average. Grade C
10) Olivia- Sang a MC Hit, and she did the song Justice. One of the better singer in this competiton. Not my favorite MC Song, but this girl can flat out sing. It was very good for me. Grade B+
11) Collin- Usually a huge fan of his. Not the song choice I expected, and too be fair it was in my opinion, not a very good choice. I thought it was a average at best vocal. Worst we have seen from him also so far. Grade C
12) Tyson- It wasn't perfect, and he did spent a little too much time shaking hand with the audience, and kind of got lost in the song in a small part of the song or so it seemed. His vocal was solid though. Overall I still kind of liked it. Grade B-
13) Nutsa- That was one crazy performance. I'm amazed she was abe to hit some of the notes she did while running all over the stage. But as a collective I didn't like the overall performance, or really like the song either for a contest. Just Average at best. Grade C
Now that my understanding is they eliminate 3 people from each night. Any 3 of the 4 people I mentioned yesterday would do. As for tonight, you can eliminate. a bunch of people but I kind of evaluating more through from an overall perspective down there. outside of two contestants on the no brainer side We ani and Olivia that must go through, and two that were not very good in Megan and Michael. The rest varied from average to decent for me, So It could be 1 of a number of singers. But if I had to go with someone it would either be Malik, Hannah, or Mary beth for the last spot to eliminate. All is just one man's opinion.
