A derm came in yahoo and mentioned RVNC terribly...

That guy is a liar and a buffoon. He actually said Botox doesn't stick around after injection yet it somehow takes months for nerves to reform Snap25, the protein Botox cleaves to mediate is effects. I will give him credit for making me look up some things about Botox and Snap25. I asked him if that supposed transient burst of Botox also destroys the intracellular Snap25 pool, the Snap25 mRNA and then represses Snap25 transcription (mRNA production). He didn't respond, but of course it doesn't. Snap25 has a ~16 hour half-life so if Botox was destroyed after a day or a few days after injection like he indicated, the pre-existing pool of intracellular Snap25 protein would be recruited for use in vessicle transport, pre-existing mRNA would make new Snap25 protein and new Snap25 mRNA would be synthesized. Botox needs to hand around to keep cleaving Snap25. I read that Botox A has a 31 day half-life so it likely stays around at a high enough concentration to do the trick

I did get laugh when he said he talks to 30 other dermatologists a day and they all think Daxxify sucks. If he spends 10 minute a call that is 5 hours a day wasted on the phone. Must not have many patients.

Of course none of this addresses whether Daxxify will become a major player and if so, how ling it will take. Obviously I am betting if will do so, at least at some point, and hopefully sooner rather than later.
