So how can scalability and reliability be the same thing?

They are not the same thing. Scalability is what I stated in my prior post:

Scaling is being able to produce the quantity of devices the customers want at the specifications they expect at the price negotiated. It is really quite simple. Or not.

Reliability is performance to specification over a stated period of time.

Nowhere in my prior post did I state that scalability and reliability are the same thing.

But if scalability OR reliability do not meet the customers' expectations, no sale is made.
