My Take On The Show Last Night
1rst Performance (Kaeyra) Sang a song by BB, and made it a nice rock moment. She can sing, and this performance she sang very well, although I have consistently liked her when we have seen her. A No brainer for me to be in the top 24, and the judges put her though.
2nd Performance (Warren) Sang a classic song, the Appliance repair technician. Not my favorite song for him to sing. But he sang it very well as is constently good as usual. A No brainer for me to be in the top 24, and the judges put him though.
3rd Performance (Nutsa) Coming off the rocky duets with the unprofessional partner. Sang a Classic TT song, not my favorite song for a competition either. I think she overperformed and had just an average vocal. I was on the fence leaning towards a no, but the judges put her through.
4th performance (Aidan) Sang a CP Song, the guy who is on the spectrum. I didn't love the vocal to say the least or the performance. I woudn't put him through obviously and the Judges agreed.
5th performance (Michael) Not a great song choice for him. Slighty Above Average Vocal for me. Nothing exciting, than again he could of used a better song. I was on the fence leaning towards a yes, and the Judges put him through.
6th Performance (Malik and Pjae see the Judges together. When we seen the performances Pjae can sing, but a strange style, that I'm not sure everyone is gonna like. I personally was on the fence. Than they show malik, with a standard decent R & B Singer performance, he didn't wow me, but he can sing. Pleasant but forgettable. Was on the fence leaning towards a yes. Than they have a sing off, they give them a hour to come up with a song choice which they kind of guide them too. Obviously not enough time in my opinion to prepare, I didn't think either sounded particularly well, not that you should expect that with that limited time to get ready. So I ignored the sing off for that reason. I was kind of on the fence leaning towards malik if I had to choose. They Choose both which was kind of surprising.
7th Performance (Wei) Sang a AF Song. She can flat out sing, one of the best vocalists in this competition, and this perofrmance didn't nothing to change my mind on that. Right Now the favorite for me at the moment. A No brainer for me to be in the top 24, and the judges put her though.
8th Performance (Zachariah) The Burger guy. Sang a classic rock song He is a quirky performer to say the least Above Average Vocal and for some reason is growing on me. Don't want to like it, but I do for some reason. Should go through to the top 24, and the judges agreed
9th Performance (Katelyn) A PT holder, Sang one of my many favorite songs. Started off pretty bad and didn't get much better throughout. I wouldn't put her through and the judges agreed.
10th performance (Tyson) Had trouble with the nerves and forgetting the words in the beginning. But if you listen this guy can sing. Not a perfect vocal, and he has to battle the nerves better. But this PT Holder still can sing His voice has top 10 perhaps better potential in my opinion. A No brainer for me to be in the top 24, and the judges put him though.
11th performance (Haven) She is a very good songwritter, but her vocal on this cover, was a complete mess in my opinion. Totally exposing her voice is not strong enough. Wouldn't put her through, but judges disagreed.
12th performance (Fire) Here comes the drama. Sang for her okay, for anyone else slightly below average. Should of been gone a long time ago in my opinion. Obviously I think she shouldn't go through and judges finally agreed.
13th Performance (Lucy) Not her biggest fan. Singing a RS Song Don't love her tone, and she screams when she powers up. Obviously Wouldn't put her through, but judges disagreed, have no clue what they see in her.
14th Performance (Paige and Megan) Paige was in the hotel room, she I guess didn't feel well. Sang a classic song, not perfect, but she can sing. Even sick and even in a hotel room. Megan sang a LG Song and it was awful for me. Both off in a lot of parts and a not so great tone. For me it is obvious Keep Paige and send Megan Home. But they have a sing off. Paige did a pretty good job considering the shorttime frame to prepare it wasn't a perfect vocal, but it flashed talent. We didn't get to hear megan in the sing off, but time will tell, I find it hard to believe megan can top that but we will find that out tonight.
