Mets sure have been hammered by injuries. Hopefully Verlander and Max can give you 25 starts each or the season might been over much sooner than last year, when you needed 1 win from your top 3 pitchers in Atlanta and failed miserably.
Brewers rookies are hot now. With the likes of Yelich raking .217 with 11k's in 23 at bats, they have to be. It's a good ride, but it won't last too long. It's also small market ball: you can pay Canha 11 million per year or Escobar 10 million a year, or for the MLB minimum, you can get comparable production from your farmhands and actually field a team that plays with energy and abandon. The quicker the Mets call up Baty, Vientos and Alvarez the better IMO.
The Mets biggest acquisition will come after this season, when they complete the deal for Stearns from Milwaukee and kick Billy E to the curb.
