I am also curious to hear Zip's take on this. Of course I am under the belief (could be wrong) that there was some interest before the DuDisaster. Another thought as to why Pharma may not be interested is that they may have the same mindset (or maybe a concern) that the over the counter fish oil omega 3 industry would be difficult to shut out. Many docs just tell their patients to take fish oil. After Du of course BP may have deduced that the most lucrative market - the US - would be more bother than it was worth.

On the other hand, there have been cases where BP has bought omega-3 companies. AZN or NVS I believe. Of course their product failed in trials but it does show some past interest and we as a fact that Vascepa has excelled in clinical trials.
