So you are saying that a large BP, like ones that pushed Opioids for years knowing full well the dependencies they would create, wouldn't finance the manipulation of a small biotech in order to either 1) drive them into bankruptcy so their competing product would remain or become the current SOC or 2) artificially depress the stock price in order to allow them to partner or buyout on the cheap? I think you give BP way too much credit.
