ABSTRACT:
Over the years I’ve posted my personal lipid lab panel as anticdotial evidence that when VASCEPA® is added to statin therapy it actually enhances the effects of lipid/lipoprotein, Apolipoprotein, and inflammatory parameters as seen in monotherapy statins. (See Table 1 and a discussion in this file):

We know from REDUCE-IT that VASCEPA® when added to a statin reduces CVE’s 25-35%. Lately studies have shown that further reductions in LDL-c with addon’s like ezetimibe, inclisiran, BA and alirocumab also further reduce CVE’s. The mantra has been “the Lower, the Longer, the Better” regarding LDL-c. Does this diminish the effectiveness of VASCEPA®? Read my take on this here:
